Penny’s Farm-Able CIC®

Social Farming Community Interest Company – not for profit

Sharing farming knowledge, skills and experience. Working together and supporting each other.

What is social farming?

Social Farming is a form of Diversification

To share your farming knowledge and work with others with different experiences and transferable skills that can enhance your farming business and support them at the same time.

To have and enjoy the social friendships that can come from sharing your farm with enthusiastic people.

The joy that can be shared with the therapeutic nature of working with livestock.

To know you are making a difference to someone’s life. Possibly someone who will benefit for being out in Mother Nature with a caring farmer.

To see how rewarding it can be to share your knowledge, many farmers do not realise just how many ‘hats’ they actually have which can encourage others.

The social group you may have can support your farming and help you move forward maybe with a new approach including those with the right skills can help you the farmer and spread the word about how our food is produced.

To share your farming knowledge to support and educate others who are keen to learn about farming and country life.

You may find that the people who come can extend your business, I.e. if you are a dairy farmer, you may find someone who would like to make cheese from your milk? The possibilities lend themselves to lots of opportunities on farms.

With our wide-ranging experience we are offering to assess opportunities on your farm to match you and your farming enterprise with social groups or individuals with highly skilled personnel which may be veterans with military background or civil service background.
